We survived the end of the Mayan Calendar. We dodged the Fiscal Cliff (barely). Now it’s time to get back to work. These past two weeks have gone by way too fast. Christmas came and went. Santa was really good to me this year. New Year’s seemed to have happened in the blink of an eye. And even though I am sick YET AGAIN, I’m trying to keep my head up for a good start to this new year.
It was only about a month ago that I had the flu. And I woke up on New Year’s Day with a cough that developed into a bad cold/flu type thing. It totally ruined my last couple of days off. My goal was to apply for some scholarshi
ps, get all my bills in order and do a little cleaning. Instead, I couldn’t do anything, aside from using Clorox Disinfecting wipes on everything I touched. And when I went back to work, I still wasn’t the same. I just totally feel…blah.
Moving on to happier thoughts…I am almost caught up on season 3 of “The Walking Dead.” I hadn’t seen season 2 yet, which I wanted to watch first. So good!! “Dexter” ended pretty good, too. And next is “Shameless.” I love “Shameless” not just because it’s extremely well written and funny, but also because it’s filmed in Chicago. It’s always really cool to be able to watch and know EXACTLY where they were.
School starts next week. Where does the time go? I’m not sure if I am ready to start classes again. I may just feel that way right now because I haven’t had time to order my books or buy some new binders and notebooks, or return my library books from last semester (don’t worry, they aren’t due until Jan. 11). Right now, I pretty much still feel like Homer looks.
So back to the new year, I haven’t been one to make New Year’s resolutions. Let me rephrase. I haven’t been one to keep New Year’s resolutions. Who does really?! So, my New Year’s resolution for 2013 is to keep doing what I’m already doing. Work hard in school, try my best and try to BE my best.
it's great :)
